Booking and Terms & Conditions

We are excited to be doing our Alfresco Dining Events again this summer. Enjoy safe socially distanced dining in our woodland bordered Herefordshire garden under fairylit trees and Japanese lanterns.

(Please therefore dress appropriately for sitting under trees in England in the evening)

Booking & Ordering - how it works.

We have a limited number of tables, so we keep these events as pre booked only through our booking app above Bookings close 3 days before the date of the event.

We also ask people to pre order their meal before the event. A bit like ordering a take out, but you're eating in...or out in this case!

The menu will be opened for ordering 2 weeks before the event, giving you plenty of chances to glance through our menu and make your choices for the night.

We will send you a message letting you know when it is open with a link to order online.

To avoid mistakes, confusion and disappointments when emails go missing, we now

only accept orders through the app.

If you have a particular dietary requirement please ask at the time of booking.

All orders need to be in no later than 3 days before the event. This is because all your food is cooked fresh to order, and so that we know how much we are cooking.

We will send a gentle reminder. But if there is no response, we will have to cancel your booking and release it for rebooking.

Children

This is a more adult event but polite and well behaved children are welcome as part of a small group but we do ask all parents to please keep an eye on their children while here, making sure that they stay within the fenced off area and not permit them to run around screaming as this naturally is not pleasant for other guests. For the same reason balls are not allowed. If children act in a destructive manner then I'm afraid we will have to ask you to leave.

Drinks

This is an unlicensed event. We have some Japanese drinks available to order through the app and complimentary water available on the night.

We invite you to bring any alcoholic drinks with you, we can supply glasses, but ask that you take your own empties home with you.

Parking

Parking is available outside the property or in front of the yard.

Please do not park in front of or on the drive of our neighbours.

When you arrive

You will see a large cream gate with a smaller gate to the right with a hands free hand sanitizer unit on it. Please use the hand sanitizer before you enter and make your way down the gravel path to the gated entrance where someone will show you to your booked table.

Plan's Changed?

We do understand that plans change. So if you need to cancel just please let us know. There is a no show fee of £15 that you are asked to authorise with a card at the time of booking. This will only be taken in the event of a no show.

We do not hold your card details.

Disclaimer

This is a country property, the ground can be uneven in places, and there is a gravel pathway, so please bare this in mind if you have elderly or infirm guests with you and with your choice of footwear.

Please take note of any signs warning of steps or uneven ground.

All guests are asked to stay within the event area marked by the fence.

This is an outdoor event and we can't control the weather. If it rains we will have no choice but to cancel the event. Otherwise the event will go ahead.
It can get a bit chilly under the trees so please bring something to wrap around you just in case.
We request that anything you bring with you is taken home with you. This includes empty bottles, cans etc not purchased at this event.

We have an outdoor unisex public toilet available for our guests on site behind our house. Sorry but this does not have disabled access.

Please understand that I cannot come to your table while I am cooking for everyone. But if you would like to come and ask anything at the pod I am happy to speak to you.

Unpleasantness towards any of the Miniyaki's staff will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave.
